Selfwork is the discipline to motivate oneself using resiliency, visualization, and reliability and is gained through experience. A person who demonstrates this type of initiative in the workplace is something who can be relived upon to perform their work on schedule, accurately, and thoroughly. During my previous engineering career, there were moments where I had multiple high-stakes clients who relied on me to produce design work and tender packages, sometimes on short notice. Maintaining those deadlines was my utmost concern because I valued my clients’ trust in my work. Without the disciple to self-motivate, I risked tarnishing my reputation as a reliable and respectful person in the eyes of my clients. I bring a strong selfwork ethic that will showcase my integrity and respect to future clients and employers.
