Design and Innovation skills are a creative way to solve problems. When we use these skills we think not only of the final solution but on the process as a whole, planning several iterations based on the feedback that end users give us. My brother had a bakers serving desserts and drinks. We had a problem to find ideas to increase sales. We asked for suggestions from those who were already regular customers. With several ideas on paper, we used convergent thinking to put into action those that were most viable. These ideas helped increase sales and attract new customers. We also worked to make the product development shorter, by trying new recipes and asking for feedback from customers to find out if we were on the right track. I valued the importance of end-user feedback, both positive and negative, because they saw things that we did not see.
